Luis Gonzalez Fernandez

November 15, 1950 — March 25, 2016

Luis Gonzalez Fernandez, age 65, of Rogue River, died Friday, March 25, 2016 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

Luis was born November 15, 1950 in Mexico City, Mexico the second of five children. In July 2015 he moved from Elk Grove, California to Rogue River.

Luis was a loving husband, father, and grandfather – a true family man and family meant everything to him. He was honest, strong, dependable, determined, selfless, caring, loving, kind, compassionate, intelligent, merciful, understanding, bold, comical, honorable, energetic, goofy, witty, and courageous. He was a Man of God – a perfect example of a man of Faith. He was a jokester, the life of the party and full of life. He was capable of any degree of sacrifice; he was always willing to help others and wouldn’t hesitate to give of himself for anybody in need. He was a counselor, a guide, a leader; helping people in ways they couldn’t help themselves and guiding people through rough times. Most importantly, he led people to Christ.

Luis loved his family, his friends, and his God. He enjoyed music, cars, mobster movies and watching boxing on television.

Survivors include his loving wife, Martha Graciela Fernandez; two daughters, Jocelyn E. Fernandez and Estela Camacho; three sons, Luis P. Fernandez III, Tony Camacho, and Oscar Camacho; grandchildren, Jacob J. Fernandez Silva, Julian Salazar, Mila Camacho and Roman Camacho; his mother, Aurora G. Fernandez; a sister, Leticia F. Monroy; and three brothers, Samuel Fernandez, Joe Fernandez, and Onofre Fernandez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Luis B. Fernandez.
