Lucille Rich

Doris Lucille Rich, who preferred to go by Lucille, 83, died peacefully Friday, July 17, 2009 in her home. A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Hull & Hull Mortuary.

Lucille was born May 15, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Grosse Pointe High School, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, in 1944. Shortly after graduation, she married Alfred William Rich on June 3, 1944 in Detroit. They lived in Detroit, Michigan, Torrance, California, and finally moved to Grants Pass, Oregon where they have lived since 1969.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and reading. Lucille loved holiday and family gatherings.

In addition to her husband Al Rich, Lucille Rich is survived by her five daughters, Sharyn McIntyre, Mexico; Sylvia Leonard, Las Vegas, Nevada; Susan Nevotti, Williams, Oregon; Shelly Knight, Grants Pass, Oregon; and Stacy Stricker, Beaverton, Oregon. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Hull & Hull.

Services will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., at the Hull & Hull Chapel. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
