Linda Quigley

November 1, 1930 — December 7, 2021

Anna L. “Linda” Quigley, age 91, of Grants Pass, died December 7, 2021.

Linda was born November 1, 1930 in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Before marriage she was in the millinery trade and dressed department store windows at Marks & Spencer, Belfast, Northern Ireland. She married November 1, 1949 to Wm. Fred Quigley. Linda, her husband Fred and daughter, immigrated to America in November 1951. In 1965 they moved from Oakland, California to Grants Pass, where she and her husband were owner/operators of rental properties.

Linda loved traveling and spending time at the Oregon Coast with her family. She enjoyed her monthly gatherings of girlfriends playing the game Mexican Trains and she was at her best when she won.

She volunteered her time as assistant girls Bluebird leader in Oakland, California which all 4 of her daughters were involved in; and as PTA President at Manzanita Elementary School approximately 1967-1969, where her son attended school.

Linda had a great love for growing roses and some would say “she could plant a stick and it would grow”. Having a summer garden of many vegetables was a love, as she would then enjoy canning the fruits of her labor. She also enjoyed sewing in earlier years.

Survivors include four daughters, Margaret Quigley, Grants Pass, Oregon, Barbara (Keith) Summey, Forest Grove, Oregon, Carol Quigley, Las Vegas, Nevada, Sandy Quinton, Grants Pass, Oregon, and son, Allan Quigley, Grants Pass, Oregon; grandchildren Allan Ferrell, Indiana, Sara Klug, Illinois and Joshua Quigley of Oregon; great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in Northern Ireland.

Also survived by longtime friends, Charlie C. and Barbara A.

Preceded in death by her husband Fred, her father and mother and her brother, Allan Kerr.

Private service for family to be held. A celebration of Life will take place in early 2022.

Remembrances may be made to Rogue Valley Humane Society, Grants Pass Library, Josephine County Food Bank or Women’s Crisis Center.
