Lillie May Peterson Rhorer, born March 21, 1922 in Lakeview, Oregon, died peacefully at her home on Thursday July 1, 2010. The daughter of Bell & Olaf Peterson, she was the youngest of nine children, who preceded her in death except for two loving brothers Elmer Peterson 99 and Eugene Peterson 91 years young.

Lillie completed her college education at California State, Hayward with a degree in early childhood education, and a minor in music. She taught in the Oakland School District until her retirement. In 1978 she and Harry moved to Grants Pass, Oregon, where they built their home and Lillie became an avid gardener, musician, and well known local impressionistic artist.

She is survived by her four children Terry Hirsh of Talent, Patty Wolfard of Grants Pass, Jeffrey Rhorer of Ashland, and Janice Goebel of Cloverdale, California. Lillie enjoyed her grandchildren Wendy Siporen, Jason Rhorer, Christine Robles, Jamie Cope, Jordon Hirsh, Andrew and Michael Goebel, Janice Rhorer and Lillie N.
