Leonard Paul Grimm

Leonard Paul Grimm, age 88, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Fairview Transitional Health Center.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Hull & Hull Chapel. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Leonard was born January 19, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas. He served during World War II in the United States Army. He worked for General Telephone (now Verizon) in communications for 60 years while living in Southern California. For 35 loving years he has been married to Toby Grimm. They moved from Santa Monica, California to Grants Pass twenty-five years ago.

He was a member of Steelheaders and Electrical Engineer Society.

His hobbies included fishing, bowling, gardening, working in his yard and traveling around the world.

Survivors include Mrs. Toby Grimm of Grants Pass; six children, Mike Grimm of Southern California, Susie Grimm and John Grimm, both of Idaho; Stepchildren, Phyl Sharrard, Martin Shapiro and Ray Shapiro, all of Grants Pass; a sister, Virginia McDonald of Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, Clarence Grimm of Oceanside, California; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
