Lee Mccormick

Lee McCormick, age 76, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, October 15, 2016 at her home.

Lee was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania. She lived in Riverside, California for 15 years before moving to Grants Pass, Oregon in 2012.

Lee restored the historic home in Grants Pass at 701 NW A St. The home was formerly the 'Rogue River Boys Home' now named, “The Queen Lady.” She also restored classic cars: 58, 59 Corvettes and two 55 T-Birds. She was a long time member of the Old Farts Racing Team in Riverside, California. Lee was a talented artist. She was an autodictat, painting and drawing from childhood. She painted portraits and landscapes.

Lee loved to travel and has visited France, Italy, the Caribbean, Mexico, Panama, Alaska, and has traveled the American West far and wide.

Lee loved and nurtured many animals in her life, dogs and cats, parrots and guinea pigs, ducks and geese, horses and turkeys. All animals found a warm and loving home in her heart.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Donald Wimmer; her son, Patrick McCormick, and her son-in-law, Rocky Parker; her step children, Vicki and Raymond Wimmer; and her sister, Helen Rigsby.

Lee was a talented woman with a noble heart and a contagious love for life. We will miss her with all our hearts.
