Larry Eugene Eller

Larry Eugene Eller, age 72, of Cave Junction, Oregon and formerly of Kirwin, Kansas passed away at his home November 10, 2010. He was born March 19, 1938 in Glade, Kansas to Lucile & Sollie Eller. He attended school in Kirwin, Kansas and graduated from Kirwin High School in 1956. He attended a two year college in Kansas City, Missouri. He went to work as a truck driver in road construction. In 1972 he went to work for Tamko Roofing Company and retired after 27 years in 1999. He was a member of the Phillips County Rod & Customs Club and the Lions Club in Kirwin, Kansas.

Larry married Mickey Moore in 1971 and they raised four children, Debra, Joe, Andy, and Darla. Larry enjoyed Rodeo, NASCAR, drag racing, traveling, camping, and spending time with his family, grandbabies, and great-grandbabies. Larry and his wife, Mickey, moved to Cave Junction, Oregon in 2002.

Larry is survived by his wife, Mickey of Cave Junction, Oregon; his children, Debra Taylor and spouse Robert Taylor of Cave Junction, Oregon, Andy Moore and spouse Chris of Creston, Iowa, Darla Howell and companion Dean Ouellette of Blockton, Iowa; two brothers, Jerry Eller and spouse Bonnie of Payson, Arizona and Sollie Dee Eller of Russell, Kansas; a sister, Roseanna Eller of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Josie Taylor of Cave Junction, Oregon, Tiffany Hope Brown and spouse Marcus of Cave Junction, Oregon, Larry Headley and spouse Chastity of Creston, Iowa; Raymond Moore of Creston, Iowa, Sarah Len Moore of Stockton, Kansas, Khristopher Moore of Minnesota, and Samantha Sweat, Patrycia Harpin, Paul Harpin, and Sebastian Sweat all of Creston, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Kaven Evans of Cave Junction, Oregon, Allison Clifford of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Exavier Dwaine Headley of Creston, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sollie & Lucile Eller; a son, Joseph Moore; and two sisters, Sandra Kennis and June Van Dyke.

A memorial service is planned for late May 2011 at Boogart Cemetery, south of Kirwin, Kansas.
