Keith A. Hoffman

Keith A. Hoffman, 59, of Merlin, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at his home of cancer.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2008 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery with Randel Livingood officiating.

He was born on March 19, 1949 in LaJolla, California. He joined the U S Army in 1969 and served in Vietnam. For 30 years he worked as a heavy equipment operator for the
U S Forest Service. He moved to Merlin 20 years ago from Selma, Oregon. In 1990 he married Doria Beach, who survives.

He loved planting and growing trees, shrubs and flowers.

In addition to his wife, Doria Hoffman of Merlin; survivors include his daughter, Linnea Gerspach of Auburn, Washington; son Sequoyah Hoffman and daughter, Hunter Hoffman, both of Merlin; his niece, Emily Pesek of Merlin; great aunt, Lillian Sanders; and brother, Malcolm Hoffman, both of San Diego, California; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Janice Hoffman; his infant daughter, Jamie Souix Hoffman; and his brother in law, Phil Pesek.
