Kathryn Mary Scott, age 84, of Wolf Creek, died Monday, November 9, 2009 in Grants Pass.

A visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2009 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors and at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2009 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Savage Street Building Relief Society Room.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2009 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Savage Street Building. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Kathryn was born November 1, 1925 in Huntington Park, California to Elmer & Edith Denio. She was raised in Maywood, California and in 1943 she graduated from Bell High School in Bell, California. In 1943 she married Paul Scott. In 1967 she moved from Norwalk, California to Wolf Creek.

Kathryn was a member of Josephine County Search & Rescue; National Search & Rescue for 30+ years; and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1960.

She was an expert marksman; enjoyed handycrafts of all kinds; and enjoyed visiting Quartzsite, Arizona every winter.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Hoak of Grants Pass and Diane Carlton of Wolf Creek; two sons, Norman Scott and Paul Scott both of Grants Pass; a sister, Carolyn Barlow of Grants Pass; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Scott in 2000 and a grandson, Paul Scott in 1975.
