Kandace Lynn Bailey

Kandace Lynn Bailey, age 57, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Parkway Christian Center with Pastor Joel Williams officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Kandace was born August 30, 1954 in San Bernardino, California to Alvin Junior Ewen & Viola Mae Ewen. In 1966 the family moved from San Bernardino to Grants Pass. She graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1972. On May 24, 1974 she married Martin Bailey. She spent many years working in the kitchen at Manzanita Elementary School and loved being with the kids.

Kandace was a member of Parkway Christian Center where she was active in Women’s Bible Study.

Her hobbies included sewing, camping, playing at the beach, crafting for family, and decorating for every holiday. Her world was her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Martin Roger Bailey of Grants Pass, Oregon; she is survived by four children, Angela Lynn Williams of Boulder, Montana, Brian Roger Bailey of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Julie Ann Blair of McMinnville, Oregon, and Kevin James Bailey of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; a sister, D. Christine Sage of Grants Pass, Oregon; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Sharron Ewen; and a baby boy.
