Exie “June” Pruitt, age 80, of Grants Pass, died April 29, 2018 at Laurel Hill Nursing Center.

June was born May 17, 1937 in Strunk, Kentucky to Starlin & Ruby (Clark) Lee. She was the oldest daughter of a family of 12 children. She graduated from Glendale High School. On February 2, 1957 in Glendale she married Harold Pruitt. After living in Seattle and Klamath Falls while Harold served in the United States Army, they returned to Glendale where they raised their two sons, Curtis and Greg. June worked for many years with the Glendale School District. June and Harold were married 61 years and passed away ten days apart at Laurel Hill Nursing Center.

June was a member of the Rebekahs – I.O.O.F for many years in Glendale. She also volunteered on the Glendale School District Board.

June loved her family and kids and was called “Aunt June” by many nieces and nephews. She loved her trips to Reno and Seven Feathers with friends and family.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis Ray Pruitt of Tiller, Oregon and Greg Pruitt and wife Bridget of Grants Pass; grandsons, Joe, Brad, and Raymond; granddaughter, Ali; great-granddaughter, Lizzy; and great-grandson, Collin; a sister, Jane Rappuhn of Danville, Indiana and Tammy Lee of Hillsboro, Oregon; six brothers, Oda Lee and wife Sherri of Glendale, Thomas Lee of Rogue River, Donald Lee, William Lee and wife Margaret and Tony Lee and wife Sheila all of Glendale; and Tim Lee and wife Sylvia of Medford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jack Lee and Roger Lee; and a sister, Wilma Davis Freeman.

A graveside service for both June & Harold will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Glendale Memorial Cemetery in Glendale with Pastor Terry Bess officiating.
