Joyce Freudenberg

Joyce Freudenberg, age 99, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Spring Pointe.

Private interment will be held at Enterprise Cemetery in Enterprise, Oregon. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Joyce was born July 1, 1915 in Eleven Point, Arkansas to Harvey & Ella Mae (Rogers) Farrow. She grew up in Biggers, Arkansas where her parents had a general store and caf.

She obtained a teaching degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and taught elementary school in her home town and in Missouri and Illinois. She worked in a munitions plant in St. Louis during World War II.

In June 1951 she married Ed Freudenberg in Enterprise, Oregon and lived on their ranch east of Joseph for 53 years. She moved to Grants Pass in 2004.

Joyce was active in Liberty Grange where she was a 60 year member. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her sons, Jack of Escondido, California and Ben of Grants Pass and five grandchildren.
