Joyce Ann Anno, age 80, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Laurel Hill Nursing Home.
She was born Joyce Ann Fletcher on December 7, 1939 to Ira Leon Fletcher and Lola Faye (Hale) in Ennis, Texas. She married Vernon Moss and they later divorced. Joyce married Stanley Curtis Anno and the couple lived in Las Vegas, Nevada where Joyce worked as a Keno Runner and Blackjack Dealer. In 1995 the family moved to Grants Pass where Joyce helped raise her grandchildren, Steven Anno and Kristy Moss. While in Grants Pass, Joyce enjoyed working as a home health caregiver for senior and disability services.
Joyce was an active member of the Caveman Kiwanis Club. She volunteered as treasurer with Steven’s Boy Scout Troop #22; she helped with a multitude of fund-raisers including canned food drives, popcorn sales and other opportunities to help the troop. Joyce also enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, old-time country music and dancing. She was a devout Christian and was known for helping anyone who needed a helping-hand.
She is survived by her three children Vernon Dwayne Moss of Phoenix, Arizona, Steven Curtis Moss of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Tracie Ann Anno of Grants Pass; grandchildren Larry, Sarah, Joseph, Kristy, Dawn and Steven; great grandchildren Brooke, Joey, Justice, Josiah, Faith, Caleb, Alyssa and James; brother Raymond Fletcher of California. Joyce is preceded in death by her two sisters Jeanette and Debbie. Joyce’s family was her everything.
