John Franklin Lints

John Franklin Lints, age 79, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, November 15, 2009 at his home with family by his side.

A memorial graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 27, 2009 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

John was born July 12, 1930 in Anna, Illinois. During the Korean War he served in the United States Navy for four years and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Medal, Korean Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a contractor and a man of many trades in the building industry. On February 27, 1957 he married Laverne Margaret Smith. In 1968 he moved from San Diego, California to Grants Pass.

His hobbies included gardening, cooking, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include three daughters, Pamela Andrews of Portland, Debbie Almond of Selma, and Susan Grant of Medford; three sons, Brad Lints, Joey Lints, and Frank Lints all of Grants Pass; a sister, Bonnie Ellis of California; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Laverne M. Lints.

He will be loved and missed.
