John Brian Lewis

John Brian Lewis, age 73, of Azalea, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at his daughter’s home.

Private family services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

John was born February 7, 1937 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Fay & Minnie Lewis. He graduated from Wauwatosa High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From 1954 to 1962 he served in the United States Air Force. From 1968 to 1995 he worked at Travis Air Force Base as a loadmaster. In 1995 he moved from California to Oregon first to Myrtle Creek and then to Azalea in 1999.

His hobbies included playing Texas Hold’em Poker, speed skating, going to the ocean, and most especially spending time with his family. He was a snowbird and enjoyed wintering in Arizona and spending summers in Oregon.

Survivors include a daughter, Christina Kratka of Azalea, Oregon; two sons, Todd Lewis of Duluth, Minnesota and Aaron Lewis of Napa, California; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
