Joel Tompkins

Joel Allen Tompkins was born January 19th, 1964 to James & Donna Tompkins. He grew up the youngest of 5 siblings in Eureka, California. With a constant love for the outdoors, Joel settled in Grants Pass, Oregon among family. He raised 3 children, Joshua, Lena, and Lauren, alongside his wife for 30 years, Karen. He was extremely proud of them. Though sometimes quiet, to those that knew him closest, he shared a bright smile and an infectious laughter. He was a hard-working man, a truck driver for FedEx freight, who dedicated his life’s work to his family. Joel passed away Tuesday August 10th, at Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass alongside his family. He is survived by 3 beloved children and 4 grandchildren, his siblings Dawnett and John, his nephew Richie, his niece Stephanie, and a large extended family. His kind spirit will be forever missed.
Interment took place on August 13, 2021, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass.
