JoAnne was born July 11, 1954 in Oakridge, Oregon to Roy & Bonnie Belle Slover. In 1972 she graduated from Grants Pass High School and furthered her education at Southern Oregon College in physical education courses. JoAnne met Greg Monnet in 1975 at Diamond Cabinets where they both worked and married June 23, 1979 in Grants Pass.

JoAnne LOVED fashion, so starting in 1978 she managed the Silver Fox Clothing Store and in the early 1980s started managing the Bistrins Clothing Store in Medford where she was an active member of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. She later moved on to Meier & Frank as the counter manager for Lancome. In 1989 she took a job opportunity in Portland as a cosmetics buyer for Meier & Frank. In 1990 she accepted a position as a sales representative in Seattle, Washington for Jessica McClintock, a fragrance line out of Southern California. She then started working as a sales representative with Givenchy fragrances. In 1993 their son Austin was born in Seattle. JoAnne continued to work for Givenchy until 1999 when they returned to Grants Pass to raise Austin closer to immediate family. At that time, JoAnne started working as the cosmetics and fragrances departments manager at Macy’s until she was diagnosed with cancer in 2009. She then retired to be home with Greg and Austin while she battled cancer with chemotherapy. JoAnne was always the goal setter, outlasting her first diagnosis of two weeks to over four years.

Her hobbies included all outdoor activities with her husband and son including hunting and camping and always provided facials around the campfire. In her younger years, she loved to snow ski and travel.

JoAnne is survived by her husband, Greg Monnet and son, Austin Monnet both of Grants Pass, Oregon; a brother, Dale Slover; and a sister, Janice Fuller.
