James Wright Rotruck

James Wright Rotruck, age 77, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

Private services will be held with private interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass, Oregon. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

James was born October 8, 1933 in Keyser, West Virginia to Chester Wright Rotruck & Grace Lee Stonebraker Rotruck. In 1951 he graduated from high school in Keyser, West Virginia. He then attended Potomac State College in Keyser before transferring to Shepherds College in Shepherdstown, West Virginia where he graduated in 1955 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. In January 1955 after graduating he joined the military and served until his honorable discharge in January 1963. On May 13, 1962 in Keyser, West Virginia he married Lois Ann Hansen. They moved to California where he worked for Security Pacific Bank for 33 years and retired as vice-president/manager in January 1993. After his retirement he moved from Irvine, California to Grants Pass.

James was a member of the Elks Lodge in Grants Pass, American Legion Post #28, and the Grants Pass Moose Lodge.

He especially enjoyed traveling and had been to all seven continents with his last trip a 4 month freighter cruise around the world.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Rotruck of Grants Pass, Oregon; and his mother, Grace Rotruck of Mt Airy, Maryland.
