James Shelvy Jones, age 40, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, November 13, 2008 as a result of an accident.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to Kelly Jones for benefit of the Jim S. Jones Family, c/o Evergreen Federal Bank PO Box 2020, Grants Pass OR 97528.

A visitation will be on Friday, November 28, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Calvary Crossroads, 1051 SE M Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526 with Pastor Bob Bonner officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Born Sept. 23, 1968 to Ron Dean and Sharon Sue Jones (Bunch) in the town of Walla Walla Washington. James attended Walla Walla Valley Academy and went on to 3 years of pastoral education at Walla Walla College, College Place, Washington. He started a small computer business before moving to Mesa Arizona where he later met Kelly Ann Crull and married in 1997. Later in 2002 He moved to Grants Pass Oregon with his wife and two daughters.
Computer certified on a variety of platforms, Jim served the Grants Pass business of Budget Internet for over 5 years in technical phone support and computer repair. Jim became a graduate of the on line School of Biblical Evangelism and was local leader of the SO Evangelism team. He serviced the streets of Grants Pass to support the local’s knowledge of Jesus Christ. His ministry reached thousands of others through his website www.fishin-fools.com.

Jim enjoyed a variety of games and loved movies.

He leaves behind a wife Kelly and two daughters Willow and Holly of Grants Pass; sister, Stefanie Abernethy of Cave Creek, AZ; mother, Sharon Sue Jones of Phoenix, AZ. and grandmothers Alice Bunch of Phoenix AZ and Vera Dunagan of Lawton, MI; father, Ron Dean Jones and step-mother, Theresa Jones of Medford, OR, also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
