James Edward Renecker

James Edward Renecker, age 81, of O’Brien, died Sunday, August 5, 2007 at his home.

A memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Illinois Valley Funeral Directors. Southern Oregon Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements

James was born May 5,1926 in North Bend, Oregon to Sherman and Laura Renecker. In 1944, he enlisted in the United States Navy. On August 30, 1946 in Vancouver Washington he married Bertha “Dude” Humphrey. He lived in Modesto, California; Creswell, Oregon; Cottage Grove, Oregon; and Central Point, Oregon before settling in O’Brien in 1972.

His hobbies included fishing, yard sales, playing Pinochle and gardening. He especially loved his family and would do anything for them.

Survivors include his sister, Margie of Washington, 1 great niece, April Clark of Grants Pass, who he considered in daughter; three nephews, Gene Ryder of Montana, Bill Renecker of Cave Junction and Roger Renecker of O’Brien and three great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Bertha “Dude” Renecker who died on December 3, 2006; one daughter and three brothers.
