Jacob "Jay" Maag Iv

Jacob “Jay” Maag IV, age 72, of Grants Pass, died suddenly Monday, August 1, 2011 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. For further information, please call the family. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Jay was born December 14, 1938 in Los Angeles, California to Jacob & Eleanor Maag. In 1956 he married Ellen who survives. He lived most of his life in California. After retiring from the FAA in 1996, they traveled in their motorhome and settled in Grants Pass in 2000.

Jay enjoyed pitching horseshoes, playing golf and helping others.

Survivors include a son, Jacob Maag V of Sacramento, California; a daughter, Robin Geagan and her husband, Rick of Lancaster, California; three grandsons, Jacob Maag VI, David Maag and Matthew Geagan and a great-granddaughter, Kylie Ann Geagan.
