Jack was born August 4, 1941 in Hartington, Nebraska to John & Alma Jueden. He enjoyed country life with his brothers and sisters on the farm, and his love of auctions developed as he enjoyed going with his dad to cattle auctions. The family moved west to Leavenworth, Washington in 1957. It was there his love of nice, fast cars began. He worked at Leavenworth Shell Station and Shasta Fruit Company. The family moved to Medford, Oregon in 1960. Jack then worked days at Medford Mobile Service Station and nights at a wood yard. In 1963, Jack married Bonny Babcock and adopted her daughter, Shirlee. In March of 1964 their daughter, Michele was born and they moved to Grants Pass. Jack went to work for Darrell Bell at the Rogue Action Barn on Rogue River Highway. Within two years, Jack bought the Auction Barn, running it successfully for many years. In the mid 1970’s Jack opened Jueden’s Furniture in downtown Grants Pass. After his divorce from Bonny, he met and married Carolyn Kane, divorcing in the early 1980’s. Upon closing the Auction Barn and the furniture store, and various ventures in between, Jack’s greatest joy was burning gas in one of his many El Caminos, traversing across Jackson and Josephine counties going to yard sales buying furniture, antiques and collectables. For the last thirteen plus years, Jack has had his “Annual Flint Street Sale” at his daughter’s home attracting hundreds of people. Jack also did several estate sales for people in the community, teaming up and working together with his daughter, Michele, the last many years. Jack was often referred to as the king of yard sales and one of the hardest working men ever.

He will be fondly remembered for his generosity and kind spirit, along with his smile.

Survivors include his daughter, Michele Jueden of Grants Pass; a grandson, Spencer Johnson of Eugene, Oregon and a stepdaughter, Shirlee Mitchell of Cave Junction, Oregon; two sisters, Carol Phillips of Phoenix, Oregon and Constance Driscoll of Reno, Nevada; two brothers, Ernest Jueden of Hartington, Nebraska and Elmer Jueden of Merlin, Oregon.

Preceding him in death was infant daughter, Charlotte Mary Jueden, his parents, John and Alma Jueden and a sister Vivian Kathol.
