Helen (Jacobs) Blair

Grants Pass resident, Helen (Jacobs) Blair, age 80, passed away August 8, 2015 at her home.

Helen was born January 11, 1935 in Flagstaff, Arizona to Don & Fern Jacobs. They moved the family to Grants Pass in 1938. She graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1952. On January 13, 1953 she married Ray Blair. Ray died in 1980. Helen worked at Riverside Motel in the 1980’s; Southern Oregon Hospital for 14 years; and as a clerk at Highland Market for 11
years.

She loved people, puzzles, bunko, games and housesitting.

Surviving children are three sons, David and Jeff both of Grants Pass and Arlan of Portland, Oregon; a daughter, Lori Grants Pass; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a granddaughter, Janna Marie Tessen and a daughter, Arlene Gresser; three brothers, Don, Ed, and Ben Jacobs and a sister, Virginia Marcus.

No services are planned per Helen’s request. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
