Hazel Thelma "Teri" Or "Gator" Terrell

Hazel Thelma “Teri” or “Gator” Terrell, 77, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at her home.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. at Hull & Hull Chapel with Pastor Wes Winn officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull and Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Teri was born on August 12, 1928 in Jacksonville, Florida and grew up there. She was the youngest of four children born to George Ellis & Pearl (Carter) Holland. In 1945 she met and married Jimmie N. Terrell who was in the Marines. Over the years she and her husband often traveled to Oregon to visit his family. In 1966 the family moved to Grants Pass from Jacksonville, Florida.

She was a member of the Eagles and TOPS Club.

She enjoyed being a homemaker with her family and friends. She also enjoyed dancing, reading, watching movies, playing cards and traveling.

Survivors include Teri’s three daughters, Beverly G. DeRains of Grants Pass; Linda D. Terrell of West Linn; and Debbie J. Bacon of Riddle; her brother, Edwin Holland of Alma, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Scott Martin, Rhonda Loper, Tami Hackett, Krista Manson, Brad Martin, Ryan Pitcher, and Chad Pitcher; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie N. Terrell in 1978; her sister, Edna Dandridge; her brother, Robert Holland; a great-granddaughter, Brooke Kortum Hackett; and a great-grandson, Eli Loper.
