October 2, 1939 — May 20, 2017

Harvel Richard Huck, of Grants Pass, Oregon, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Harvel Huck was born on October 2, 1939, in Kalispell, Montana, to Harley and Velma Huck who had six children. One brother preceded him in death, Vernon Huck, who passed in 1993. He is survived by his siblings, Barbara Hecathorn, Delilah Huck, Edmond Huck, and Lancing Huck.
Harvel married SueAnn Young in San Jose, California, in June 1963, and had been happily married for over 53 years. They had two children, Steven Huck and Brenda Beale; and four grandchildren, Austin, Amber, April Beale and Catherine Huck.

Harvel was a drywall taper in the Bay Area for over 35 years until his retirement in 1995. Harvel and his wife relocated to Grants Pass in 1996 and built their dream home.

Harvel was ingeniously creative with his hands in making things or fixing things. He built two wonderful waterfalls for his wife in two of their previous homes. He was also very artistic with wood and made furniture for his wife.

He loved outdoor activities including camping and fishing. He was also very well known by his neighbors for his wonderful gardens.

Harvel was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends whose lives he had touched over the years.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, July 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. for family and friends at Hull & Hull Funeral Home, 612 NW A Street in Grants Pass, Oregon.
