Harold Joe Foreman

Harold Joe Foreman, age 91, of Central Point, died Monday, August 4, 2014 at an adult care home.

A viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass.

Harold was born December 18, 1922 in Scribner, Nebraska to Joe & Violet Foreman. He graduated from high school in Verdigre, Nebraska and in 1943 enlisted in the United States Navy. A decorated veteran he served on the USS Rowe, USS Cape Perpetua, and the USS Sea Cat and was honorably discharged in 1946. Harold eventually relocated with his family to a ranch in Quines Creek, Oregon where on August 15, 1947 he married Edith Ella Brady. Together they raised four children. In 1951 he established Foreman’s Dairy on Leonard Road in Grants Pass which was one of the last raw milk dairies in Oregon. He remained in the Rogue Valley for the rest of his life

Harold especially enjoyed dancing and horse racing.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Foreman of Central Point, Oregon; four children, Vicky McGuire and husband Mike of Grants Pass, Oregon, Arland Foreman of Sunny Valley, Oregon, Denice Kyker and husband Dick of Central Point, Oregon and Terry Foreman and wife Michelle of Prineville, Oregon; a sister, Norma Johnson of Conway, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Layne Snyder, Matthew McGuire, Jeff Kyker, Melissa Christiansen, Jason Foreman, Jesse Foreman, Elizabeth Foreman, Amber Foreman, Erica Rae and Issac Foreman; and 13 great-grandchildren, Hayden Kyker, Loren Hang, Elijah Snyder, Bronson Rae, Harper Rae, Kianna Foreman, Devyn Foreman, Ina Foreman, Aiden Foreman, Hailey Christiansen, Ethan Christiansen, Brittany McGuire, and Tanner McGuire.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Zell, Arle, Wid, and Verl.
