Harold (Harry) Alfred Hagen

Harold (Harry) Alfred Hagen of Grants Pass Oregon passed away on January 30, 2013. He was born on January 25, 1926 in Glencoe Minnesota.

Harry is survived by his wife Eugenia (Jean) Hagen, his seven children and their families: Becky Hagen Couture (Rick) of Flagler Beach Florida, Pat (Deb) Hagen of Cedar Rapids Iowa, Mike (Barb) Hagen of Temple Texas, Dan (Alison) Hagen of Studio City California, Peter (Judy) Hagen of Plano Texas, Mary Hagen Knoechel (Lance) of St. Maries Idaho, John (Kerri) Hagen of Amherst New Hampshire along with 21 grandchildren. Harry’s brother is Donald (Peg) Hagen from Wisconsin and his sisters are Ruth Hagen (Jake) Jacobs from Bird Island Minnesota and Lois Hagen Schwob from Minneapolis Minnesota.

He is predeceased by his wife Jean (Austin) Hagen, his sister Beatrice Hagen Hahn, and his parents Angela Griep Hagen and Alfred Enid Hagen.

Harry loved to travel with Jean. He was a volunteer for Lovejoy Hospice and Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends and family. For over forty years he was an avid runner. Harry’s career was in the insurance business while he lived in Minnesota, Iowa, and Texas. He retired from the United States Navy as a Lieutenant Commander. Harry was a gentle man and never let you forget how special you were.

A memorial mass will be said at St. Anne’s Catholic Church (1131 N.E. 10th Street Grants Pass Oregon) on Saturday February 23 at 11 am.

Reception will follow at the Rivers Edge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harry’s name to: Lovejoy Hospice, 939 S.E. 8th Street Grants Pass Oregon 97526.
