Glenn Phillip Edwards

December 4, 1929 — September 11, 2020

Glenn Phillip Edwards was born on Dec 4th, 1929 and passed away peacefully on Sept 11th, 2020 in Grants Pass, Or. surrounded by his family at the beautiful age of 90. Glenn spent 21.5 years in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country and continued to show his appreciation to this great nation . He was a member of the Grants Pass High School Class of 1948 and was a teacher at GPHS for 20 years. After retiring for a second time Glenn spent the next 20 years serving on the Josephine County Fair board, as well as contributing to horse racing. Glenn served on many community boards, including the development of the All Sports Park and SOASTIC Youth Center (Kairos). Glenn belonged to the Grants Pass Golf Club for several decades and enjoyed fishing, racquetball, softball, gardening, and bowling. Glenn cultivated many friendships along his 90 years which lasted a lifetime. He was so grateful for each person who crossed his path especially the 30+ years of the Powder Horn Morning coffee table guys. Glenn loved his Dutch Bros family and especially Dane and Travis. Glenn will always be remembered for giving away all of Dane and Travis's money through the coffee cards he was always handing out. He loved his title of "Ambassador of Community Good Will!"
There was never a dule moment when Glenn was around, either jokes, magic tricks, or stories--some of them true and some of them….
well you know!

There are no words to describe the whole in our hearts for the loss of such a caring and giving person. Glenn was Dad, Pops, G- Pops and Boo, we as a family will always cherish our time and memories.
He loved life and everyone in it…I LOVE YOU MORE Glennie!

Glenn is survived by his wife Linda Edwards, 2 children Rick Edwards (wife Camille Edwards), His daughter Jillinda Ford, Grandchildren Levi Edwards, Lacy Edwards, Jessie Ford and Jay Mayernick, as well as 10 great grandchildren, sister Lucille Cummins and many nephews and nieces.
