Gerry Johanna Michel

Gerry Johanna Michel, passed away January 19, 2010 in Azalea, Oregon at 103.

Jo was born in Amsterdam Holland to Cornelis and Mathilda Hekelaar on September 20, 1906. She moved to the United States with her parents when she was 7 years old. She married Folkert Sipkens in 1926 at Venice, California. They moved to Glendale, Oregon in 1945 where he passed away in 1947. She married Renus Michel in 1949 and they started Michel’s Feed and Building Supplies until they retired and moved to Scottsburg, Oregon. He passed away in 1973. She then moved to Roseburg and was active in the Friendly Kitchen.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Bob Fisher; three grandchildren, Beverly (Jody) Farley, Brad (Bernedette) Fisher and Barbara (David) Potter and three great-grandchildren.

At her request there will be no services.
