George Patrick Dickson was born on December 13, 1952 in
Cherry Point, North Carolina to United States Marine Corps Staff
Sergeant Charles Robert and Joe Jeannette Dickson.

As a child, George attended Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary School.
He continued his education at Leroy L. Doig Intermediate School
and ended his public schooling at Santiago High School in
Garden Grove, California.

George enlisted in the U.S. Army in April 1971 as an
infantryman. He volunteered for Airborne Jump School at Ft.
Benning, GA. Then, he joined the 82nd Airborne Division at
Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and finally transferred to Mainz,
Germany with the 2nd BN 28th Infantry. He then was sent to
Ft. Jackson, South Carolina for his honorable discharge in
1974.

George returned to Garden Grove, where he drove a truck,
worked in a body shop, did carpet work and worked as a
general handyman. He moved with his parents to Azalea,
Oregon in 1995, where he became an avid fisherman, hunter,
and Jack of all trades.

After battling cancer for 11 months, he passed away November
22, 2014 surrounded by his family, friends, and the caring
personnel at the Highland House in Grants Pass, Oregon.

He is survived by his daughter, Jillian Kent; her three
children, KaLiyah, KayLyn and Bentley; father, Charles R.
Dickson; and siblings, Robert, Charles, Jeannette, Brian and
Thomas.

His loving mother Joe Jeannette Dickson preceded George in death.

He was a son, brother, father, brother-in-law, uncle,
nephew, great uncle, cousin and grandfather.

He is dearly missed by all.
