Geoffrey L. "Jeff" Wood

Geoffrey L. “Jeff” Wood, 71, of Grants Pass died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 as a result of a boating accident on the Rogue River.

Services are pending. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

He was born Oct. 19, 1941, in Van Nuys, Calif., to J. Garland and Eva Wood. In 1959, he graduated from Canoga Park High School in California. In 1961, he married Linda Lee Weber, who survives. They retired to Oregon in 2004 from California. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a general contractor.

He was a member of the Middle Rogue Steelheaders and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was involved with angler education and volunteered with the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office for five years. He especially enjoyed being with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Debbie Martyn and Dena Yates; a brother, Leroy; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A daughter and an infant son died before him.
