Gary Dale Wylie

Gary Dale Wylie “Chink”, age 69, of Kerby, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at his home.

No services are planned. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

He was born June 1, 1940 in Bloomington, Indiana to George Franklin Wylie & Jocie Louise (Neal) Wylie. For 57 years he lived in the Illinois Valley. In 1962 he served in the United States Army. Over the years he worked for various logging companies as a timber faller and heavy equipment operator. He also owned his own logging company.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Pat Wylie of Kerby; a daughter, Marilyn Wylie Rentz of Medford; three sons, Don Neal Wylie, Gary Michael “Obie” Wylie, and Danial “Moe” Wylie all of the Illinois Valley; an adopted daughter, Zarina Kay Atkins of Cave Junction; eight grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Laverna Sibberull of Indiana, Darlene Milner of Alaska, Annetta Floyd, Dorothy “Dort” Milner, and Mattie Nelson all of Cave Junction.
