Gaile Patricia Gruwell

May 1, 1952 — January 31, 2014

Gaile Patricia Gruwell, age 61, of Grants Pass, Oregon, was hand chosen to come home by our Lord and Saviour on Friday, January 31, 2014. She was a beloved wife to husband Mike Miller and an adoring mother to her only son, Emmett Cole Lozano (Wife Tori), beautiful grandchildren, Ashlan, Logan and Peyton, as well as her precious Scooter 'Scootie' the Chihuahua.

Gaile was born in Newfoundland, Canada on May 1,1952 and grew up in both Placerville and Pollock Pines, California. Gaile graduated from El Dorado High School, Placerville in 1970.

She was preceded in death by her Father Harry Gruwell and her Mother Marian. Gaile spent many happy years working as a grip for famous bands, and her many talents saw to it that she had a varied career, as she never shied away from hard work. Later she studied at Southern Oregon University, where she was Senator in her student government, and earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She and her family were so proud of this significant achievement. Gaile also donated her time and love to several organizations, including *The Humane Society* and *Walk for Life*, a cause near and dear to her heart as a cancer survivor.

Gaile also leaves behind her sister Leigh (Gruwell) Jensen, (Brother-in-law Stan),brother Larry Brown,(sister-in-law Elisabeth ). Gaile is treasured by her nieces and nephews, Dawn, Sean, Matthew, Kelly, great nieces Haylee, Lacey, and Sydney, as well as numerous Aunts, Cousins, and close friends.

Gaile was an incredible free spirit with a contagious amount of love and enthusiasm for life. She always had positive things to say and was very genuinely, an uplifting person. Her wonderful warm laugh and smile were only matched by the size of her heart. She loved more than anything to
spend time with her family, and always made the effort to reach out and stay current with her loved ones.

She also enjoyed gardening with her best friend and husband Mike, watching a great live band perform, floating on the river with Mike and their friends, baking Grandma's persimmon cookies for the family, antiquing, and helping her friends whenever and however she could.

Gaile was dedicated to strengthening her faith and committed to walking closer with God. She loved the fellowship she had with her friends at 'The Gathering Place.

The service will take place Thursday, February 6th at 2:00 PM at “The Gathering Place”, 1229 Rogue River Highway, Grants Pass Oregon, 97527 (across from Caveman Bowl). All are welcome to attend. We will have a reception immediately after.
