Frank James Tucker, age 89, of Cave Junction, died Monday, September 20, 2010 at an adult foster home.

A family gathering was held. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Remembrances may be made to Special Olympics.

Frank Tucker was born October 3, 1920 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He was raised in Norman, Oklahoma the son of Charles & Josephine Tucker, the seventh of eight children with five brothers and two sisters. On February 16, 1946 in Los Angeles, California he married Carmen Torriente. After 35 years of service, he retired from Earl M. Jorgenson Steel as a truck mechanic. In 1983 he moved from Long Beach, California to Cave Junction.

His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching old movies, especially westerns and was a huge fan of John Wayne. He took pleasure in reading Louis L’Amour books and Reminisce magazines.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen Tucker of Cave Junction; three children, Marilyn Fasulo of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sandy Wardell of Mount Vernon, Washington, and Danny Tucker of Cave Junction; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
