Francis J. Hebert, age 100, of Grants Pass, died February 5, 2018 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.
Francis was born March 18, 1917 in St. Joseph, Kansas. He was one of 11 children all who died before him including an older sister who also lived to be 100. On November 14, 1935 in Grinnell, Kansas he married Florence Bemiss. During World War II he served in the United States Army stationed in California with the rank of private first class. He later worked for McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft for 33 years in Long Beach, California retiring in 1973. He moved from Gardena, California to Grants Pass, Oregon.
He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
He especially enjoyed fishing and watching professional football especially his favorite teams, Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers; and professional baseball especially the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Miller of Grants Pass; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Hebert; and two sons, Louie Hebert in 2017 and Jerry Hebert in 1979.
A memorial service is being planned for July 2018. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
