Florence Holley Gore

September 13, 1934 — February 20, 2019

Florence Holley Gore was born September 13, 1934 in Miami, Florida, to Clifford and Marguerite Holley. She attended Miami Tech High School and graduated in 1952.

On June 11, 1954, she married Robert H. Gore from New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
They had 2 children, Tracy Lane (b. 2-21-1957) & Vincent Scott (b. 4-2-1960)
The family resided in New Smyrna Beach until 1966, when they moved to Tracy, California.
They resided there for 21 years.

Florence was a devoted wife & mother and her family was blessed that she was able to be home full time. She sacrificed a lot to make sure Tracy and Vincent had a Christian education.

In 1987 they moved to Merlin, Oregon, where she and Robert spent the last 32 years enjoying their retirement and being able to spend time with their grandchildren.

Florence was an active member of the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was an assistant Sabbath School teacher for many years and loved helping with the children. She loved her church and the many friends she made there.

She passed away Feb 20, 2019 after a long illness.

She is survived by her daughter: Tracy Archbold (husband Neal) of Merlin; her grandchildren: Scott, Joshua, and Shelley all of Merlin, Alyssa James of Davis, California and Andrea James of Fortuna, California; and sisters: Aileen Tobias of Edgewater, Florida and Dale Cox of Athens, Georgia.

A celebration of Florence's life will be at 12 Noon, Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church.
