Eva Kiene

Eva Kiene, age 81, of Cave Junction, Oregon, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born on January 16, 1929 in Hamburg, Germany. On September 8, 1950 in Hamburg she married Fritz Alexander Kiene. In Germany she was a bookbinder and repaired antique books. In 1960 she came to America. For 36 years she lived in Cave Junction, Oregon.

She loved planting flowers and taking care of all the deer and other animals that passed her way. Her greatest enjoyment was visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Hella & Roy Hiljus; a daughter and son-in-law, Susie & Don Hoover; a son and daughter-in-law, Tom & Cindy Kiene; a grandson, Jesse Kiene and wife Misty; and two great-grandchildren, Jaselynn Kiene and Joel Kiene.
