Eula Charlotte King

Eula Charlotte King, age 78, of Wimer, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at her home.

A viewing will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2011 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.

A celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Grace Baptist Church, Rogue River with Pastor Lenny Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Eula was born February 21, 1933 in Bristow, Oklahoma to John & Elizabeth Felactu. At a young age, she moved with her family to California. She was raised in San Diego and graduated from San Diego High School as valedictorian of her class. For three years, she worked for Bell South Telephone Company where she met her future husband, Ralph Norman King. On January 25, 1954 at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in San Diego they were married. As a young mother Eula worked as a waitress at her father’s restaurant in San Diego. In 1995 she moved from San Diego to Wimer.

Eula attended Grace Baptist Church in Rogue River.

Her hobbies included cooking, dancing, homemaking, and she loved to tell jokes.

Survivors include a daughter, Scarlett (Elvin) Yawn of Wimer, Oregon; four sisters, Anna Fernandez of Cardiff by the Sea, California, Mary Woolard, Genevieve Hunt, and Artie Felactu all of San Diego, California; two brothers, Jerry Felactu of San Diego, California and Odessa Felactu of Rancho Palos Verdes, California; and two grandsons, Travis Yawn and Gerald Yawn both of Wimer, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Norman King; a sister, Gloria Harris, and a brother, George Felactu.
