Elaine Marie Mershon

Elaine Marie Mershon, age 74, of Grants Pass, Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at her home.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Redwood Christian Church with Pastor Frank Davato officiating. Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Elaine was born November 21, 1935 in Long Beach, California to James Douglas McCullough Sr & Effie Louise Glasse McCullough. In 1952 she graduated from Santa Monica High School and later graduated with an Associates degree from UCLA. In 1956 she married Robert Mershon, who preceded her in death. In 1994 she moved from California to Grants Pass.

Elaine was a member of First Christian Church in Huntington Beach, California and after moving to Grants Pass was a member of Redwood Christian Church since 1994.

She was very active in her churches where she enjoyed singing in the choir and attending church functions. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed genealogy and reading.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne Mershon of Frederick, Maryland; a son, Andrew Mershon of Anaheim, California; a brother, James Douglas McCullough Jr of Houston, Texas; and three grandchildren.
