Edward E. Warner, age 88, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at his home.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Edward was born March 5, 1921 in French Camp, California to Edward & Annie Warner. He was raised in the Stockton area. In 1943 he joined the Army Air Corp and served as an Armorer Gunner in Europe until he was discharged in 1945. He moved to Placerville, California and was a letter carrier until his retirement in 1976. He moved from Georgetown, California to Grass Valley, California in 1985 and married LaVonne Wright. In 2007 he moved to Grants Pass to be near family.

He was a member of N.A.L.C. (National Association of Letter Carriers), N.R.A. (National Rifle Association) and Edgewater Christian Fellowship.

His hobbies included fishing, (since he was five years old), hunting, 4 wheel driving, computers and military history.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Whaley of Grants Pass; six grandchildren, Dannette and Brian Arney, Denna and Dan Gemini and Daniel and Berniece Whaley; seven great-grandchildren, Josh, Sam and Mariah Arney, Corina and Cara Gemini and Josiah and Elijah Whaley.

Preceding him in death was his wife, LaVonne Wright in 2007; his parents; three sisters including his twin sister, Maxine, who died at three months old and four brothers
