Dr. Mitchell "Mitch" Moos

Dr. Mitchell “Mitch” Moos, age 79, of Grants Pass, died October 3, 2018 at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.

Mitchell was born in Poland in the then Polish city of Lwow on January 1, 1939, the only son of Jozef and Marianna Moos. The family miraculously survived the horrors and deprivations of World War II, and emigrated to the United States, to Chicago, Illinois in 1949. He completed his education there, culminated with an MD degree from the University of Illinois in 1964. He married Ann Gabriel in Chicago in 1964. A year of internship and another of surgery at Illinois Central Hospital in Chicago was followed by three years of specialty training in Urology at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Then the Moos family moved to Grants Pass, Oregon in 1969. Mitchell was the first Board Certified Urologist in the Rogue Valley and practiced that specialty until September 2001. After closing his practice, he continued to consult in Urology at the Falk Clinic in Canyonville.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Carol and her son Jacob; sons, Andrew and his wife Deb and their children Emily, Tobias and Karly, Steven and Polly and their children Enthanu, Manoria, Choomno and Chandra, Robert and his wife Victoria and their son Reuben, and son, Eric.

Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
