Dorothy Jean Parkyn

March 28, 1933 — July 30, 2021

Jean or “Grammy Pies”, as she was known by some, passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by the love of her family the afternoon of July 30, 2021 at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, Medford, Oregon.

Born the youngest of 7 siblings in Gilman Missouri, Jean was the last survivor.

Jean was a great mom. She was a crafty person and a best friend when you needed one. She was known as “Grammy Pies” by her grandchildren after owning two pie shops – “Jeans Kitchen & Pie Shop”, baking 20-30 pies daily. She still baked for every birthday, event, and gathering and they were very good.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Roger Frost; daughter Denise Rush and son David Frost. She later met Robert Parkyn whom she married in September of 2000. Robert passed in 2019.

She is survived by her son Doug (Sandie) Frost; daughters Donna Komorrow and Diane (Danny) Coughlin; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
