Dorothy Grace Low

December 27, 1923 — March 6, 2015

Dorothy Grace Low, age 91, of Grants Pass, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at an assisted living facility.

Dorothy was born December 27, 1923 in Grants Pass. Her family owned a farm on Harbeck Road. During World War II she worked in Seattle as part of the Rosie the Riveter gang helping to build planes for the war effort. During this time she met, George Low. After their marriage, they lived for 40 years on West Savage Creek Road in one of the original homestead areas of Southern Oregon. She worked at Pinnacle Pear packing plant for many years.

Dorothy always had a gleam in her eyes and a bright smile. She loved cooking, gardening, dancing, play cards, arts and crafts, picnics and listening to country music.

Survivors include two sons, Victor Low of Medford, Oregon and Timothy Low of Quincy, California; a daughter, Joy Augustine of Klamath Falls, Oregon; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Low and her son, George Blaine Low.

Her family will celebrate her life with a picnic and camping trip near Lake of the Woods. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
