Donald was born on May 11, 1933 in Milfay, Oklahoma. From 1950 to 1954 he served in the United States Air Force. While stationed at Eglin Air Force base in Florida, he married Eva Dell Dawson 1954, and she preceded him in death. He worked at Aerojet General Corporation for 38 years and served as supervisor. In 1993 he retired and moved to Grants Pass from Folsom, California.

His love for off-road vehicle sports was a life time event. As a charter member of the Dirt Diggers North Motorcycle Club, he was instrumental in forming dirt bike races in California, for both amateur and professional riders. While active in the motorcycle club, he held offices for treasurer and was president for sixteen years. He is proud of the club and the yearly Hang Town Races at Prairie City, at the Off Road Vehicle Park in Rancho Cordova, Calif.

Together with his wife, he experienced the joy of traveling and cruising with family and friends. They supported Grants Pass High School sports for many years, and he loved watching his 49ers, Oklahoma and Oregon Ducks. He also enjoyed riding quads with family and friends at the Oregon Coast sand dunes. He will leave a hole in the hearts of his loving family.

Donald leaves his loving wife Bobby Lynn Fisher of thirty seven years. He is the loving father of four sons, Russell Fisher or Rancho Cordova, California, Rick and his wife Annette Summers of Wilton, California, Timothy and his wife Betty Summers of LaPine, Oregon and Collin Summers or Merlin, Oregon; one brother, Douglas Fisher of Grizzly Flats, California; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by two daughters, Cheryl Ann Fisher Blanchard and Cheryl Lynn Summers McCormack; son, Kevin Lee Summers; his father, Guy Eugene Fisher; his mother, Bertha Mae Goodman Fisher; and two brothers, Fred Fisher and James Claude Fisher.
