Dennis 'Deny' Wayne Reynolds
May 3, 1948 - October 18, 2012
Dennis Wayne Reynolds, born May 3rd, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio passed on peacefully on Thursday evening, October 18th, at the age of 64 at his home. He was diagnosed with cancer in May of this year and though he did his best to stay positive and win the fight, it was his time to move on to be with the Lord.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Lola Ann Reynolds, and his two children, Kiley Arleen Reynolds and Lukas Wayne Reynolds. He is also survived by a brother Daryl Dean Reynolds and his family. Dennis is as well survived by a step son, Chuck, and a step daughter, Rhonda. Also left behind are many cousins and step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Franklin Reynolds, and his mother, Arleen Rachael Reynolds.

Dennis was grateful for his good life, most of all for his family and friends. He spent his final months doing the things he loved most and being with his loved ones. Other than spending time with family and friends, Dennis enjoyed football, playing poker, and fishing.
In high school Dennis played for the Millersport Ohio Lakers varsity football team that went undefeated his senior year. He also coached football for the Boys and Girls Club in Cave Junction and he has followed the IVHS varsity football team closely and has been very proud of each of their triumphs. Dennis loved to win and he won Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournaments quite often and was able to fulfill his dream of seeing the World Series of Poker in Vegas this year. Dennis also loved to go bass fishing and ocean fishing with his family and friends.

Dennis was a veteran who served in the Vietnam war and he was a member of the American Legion, Ohio Chapter. Dennis was a carpenter/contractor for most of his life. Many homes throughout the Illinois Valley have the work of Dennis Reynolds in them today. Dennis also has built in Ohio and Florida at different times in his life.

The Family of Dennis are planning a celebration of his life for sometime in December. With help from the American Legion, as well as family and friends it was also Deny's wish to have a plaque placed in Ohio in his memory next to his father and mother.

Any donations in memory of Dennis can be made to the Illinois Valley High School Varsity Football Team, 625 East River Street Cave Junction, OR 97523 .
Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

The Lord says life is like a vapor, it lasts for only a little while. Dennis had a positive impact on many peoples lives and his family, friends, and all who knew him will miss him greatly. He was taken from us quickly, but we are thankful he did not suffer long. He was a good man who has left this mortal world and is now at peace with the Lord in heaven.

We Miss You So Much Dad

We miss you so much Dad
We didn't realize this was all the time we had

We said I love you to you every day
Near the end we knew you could not much longer stay

We comforted you with our touch and our words as we held you tight
We tried so hard to help you win the fight
We wished to keep you with us longer
We prayed for your body to stop growing so weak and for you to become stronger
We wanted to keep you even just one more day
We needed you back smiling and to stay
We hoped for another way to save you
We tried everything until there was nothing more we could do
We saw that god called you and you had to go
We love you Dad and we know wherever you are you know
We miss you so much Dad
We didn't realize this was all the time we had

In memory of my father, Dennis Wayne Reynolds (the best dad ever)
