Delmar Bryan Nealy

Delmar Bryan Nealy, age 83, of Grants Pass, died October 16, 2020 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.

Delmar was born February 1, 1937 in Grants Pass where he was raised and graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1956. While attending high school he worked for Loyd Silva Arabian Horse Farm on Union Avenue and then went to work in the woods for Loyd Silva Logging. He later drove cat for Nealy Brothers Logging, Ford Brothers Logging, and Superior Lumber Co. Delmar built many of the logging roads around Southern Oregon.

In 1955 Delmar married Norma Dondson. In 1963 he graduated from Modern Barber College in Portland and together with Norma owned Country Cottage Beauty & Barber Shop for 20 years. Delmar and Norma lived on Applegate Avenue for 65 years and have three daughters, seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Delmar was a member of the Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Nealy of Grants Pass; daughters Kathy Hutchins and Noreen (Leslie) Bauer both of Grants Pass and Jeanene Hall of Redmond; sisters Charlotte Brock and Irene Thiergartner; brothers Oscar and Karl Nealy; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Delmar was preceded in death by his parents Oscar & Ethel Nealy and brothers Clifford and John.
