Debra Kay Genett, age 55, of Glendale, died Monday, July 2, 2007 in Glendale.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 9, 2007 at Olivet Presbyterian Church in Glendale with Pastor Buck Tohill officiating. Private Interment will be at Glendale Memorial Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Debbie’s name to Glendale C.A.R.T. (Glendale Community Action Response Team), PO Box 262, Glendale, OR 97442.

Debra Kay Genett was born in Grants Pass on September 26, 1951 to Ben and Hazel Whaley. She graduated from Glendale High School in 1969 and attended Umpqua Community College. Debbie married Vernon Genett in 1970. She owned and operated Quines Creek Texaco until 2004. Anyone who knew Debbie knew of her passion for Oregon Duck Football and her infamous “Duck Room”.

She is survived by her three daughters, Kammi Kusner of Denver, Colorado, Kara Genett of San Antonio, Texas and Kylee Genett of Las Vegas, Nevada; her mother, Hazel Whaley of Roseburg, Oregon; her brother, Gary Whaley of Fresno, California, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ben Whaley.
