Davy Lee Waters

Davy Lee Waters, age 86, passed away on Dec. 26, 2017.

A longtime resident of Galice, OR Dave was born Oct. 30, 1931 in Table Grove, IL to parents Ralph Clair and Lucille Waters. He spent his early years in Illinois before moving to Oregon.

Dave served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954. After completing his service in the Navy Dave returned to the Grants Pass area where he lead an adventurous life which included, log truck driving, fishing guide on the Rogue River and driving dump truck for many years for Copeland Sand & Gravel. He and his wife SannaRaha also spent a few years in Alaska where Dave helped build roads in Valdez and along the Alaskan Pipeline.
Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, mining and just about anything the outdoors had to offer in Southern Oregon.

Dave is preceded in death by his daughter Ann. He is survived by his wife of 40 yrs. SannaRaha, sister Betty, children Connie, Teresa, Kirby and June and step-children Debbie, Scott and Dana. Dave also enjoyed being the proud Grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of life will be held March 3, 2018 at the Galice Community Hall 10821 Galice Rd. Merlin, OR at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Galice Community Hall association.
