David Joseph Malinoff Jr

Dave was born in 1948 in San Francisco, CA and graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School. He served 3 Navy tours on the USS Buchanan in Vietnam waters as a Sonar Technician. While in the Navy he played football and was a lead singer/guitarist in a band.

He and Dee were married in San Diego, CA, and later moved to Glendale, OR in 1976. He served as a city councilman, on the planning commission, and 2 terms as Glendale Mayor. He was a member of the Lion’s Club, Douglas County Search & Rescue, Glendale Valley Choir, Olivet Presbyterian Choir and Glendale Ambulance

Dave worked as electrician/supervisor for Robert Dollar, Gregory Forest Products, Pope and Talbot, and Swanson Group. His current employment was with Platt Electric as an Outside Industrial Salesman

Dave loved his family, friends, and community

He is survived by wife Dee, son David “DJ” Malinoff, daughters Dana (Jay) Yates and Denise (Terry) Brenneman, sister Irene Tedesco, grandchildren Matthew, Lincoln, Cheylin, Emilee, Cheyenne, Jake, and great grandson Kash due in July. Dave was preceded in death by his parents Dave and Jackie Malinoff and brother Tony Malinoff.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Glendale Elementary School with Pastor Terry Bess officiating.
