David "Blair" Mcintire

November 2, 1942 — July 15, 2020

David Blair McIntire led an extremely interesting life. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Blair and Doris McIntire and was raised with two sisters, Colleen Emery and Kate Tracy. He is survived by his sisters, four nieces, and two nephews. He attended boarding school in Florida, where he met lifelong friends.

He went on to own a business in California, where he created custom woodwork. One of his contracts was with Banana Republic chain stores.

He then met the love of his life, Lynn, in 1993. They soon married and the adventures began. They moved to Colorado where Blair developed a new, very clever, bungee cord. It was bitter cold there, so they relocated to Grants Pass, Oregon, where he became very active in local politics. He was well known for his ability to speak up and let his opinion be known.

He was currently on the Urban Area Planning Commission. He then went on to patent and develop a clear lid for Jeeps and sold the business to a Canadian company, but kept the patent. They are now being sold throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Meanwhile, Lynn and Blair traveled in their RV to the Northwest Territories, Canada, the Yukon, Alaska, and on to Florida and Mexico. Behind Lynn, his favorite companions were his dogs. He loved nature and all animals. Blair lived a full life and will be missed by his loving wife, Lynn, a myriad of friends, and Friday nights at the "Clam!"

Blair, we know that you are enjoying your journey and setting the Heavens straight! To celebrate his life, there will be a casual gathering from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 952 West Park St., Grants Pass, Oregon.
